About 2017 Ultima Tulie Petit Sirah:
Ultima Tulie produces a very, very small amount of wine each year and have limited quantities to release. Their desire is to only make a handful of wines per year, babysit those barrels, and make the best damn wine they can.
Tasting Notes:
This wine is dry-farmed making its flavors dark and concentrated, well-rounded with a slight herbal edge. The aromas suggest a floral elegance while the velvety layers give you a smooth and lasting finish.
Barrel Selection:
28 months in neutral French Oak.
Winemaking Notes:
100% Petite Sirah from Kukkula, French Camp Vineyards.
About The Winery:
Cameron Stoffel, the owner of Ultima Tulie Wines, made his first batch of wine in a storage closet in 2011 at Herman Story Wines. Since then, he has been producing micro lots of high quality wine. No bottle of Ultima Tulie is sold without first touching his hands.
To him, Ultima Tulie represents surpassing the perceived or self-imposed limits. Ultima Tulie represents his love for exploring in nature, living life with purpose, loving the people he encounters, and hopefully finishing a damn good bottle of wine while he does so. His wine IS his Ultima Tulie.
